Rochelle Schaeffer has been treating patients for 36 years in massage and 26 years in acupuncture, providing quality, compassionate care through both modalities and drawing on deep experience and ongoing study to support meaningful healing results. Trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Japanese-style acupuncture, she may incorporate electric stimulation, cupping, herbal liniments, medical massage, gua sha, infrared heat, and other modalities as needed for each individual.

After graduating from massage school, Rochelle pursued additional training to become a certified AMMA therapist, a modality based on the same principles as acupuncture that accesses specific pressure points and often incorporates herbal liniments; this work naturally led her to deepen her path in acupuncture. She is also certified in acupuncture for orthopedic pain management, auricular (ear) acupuncture, and offers specialized support for fertility and women’s health.

Rochelle graduated from the New York College for Wholistic Health, Education, & Research with a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Health Sciences and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. Following graduation, she traveled to China for extensive clinical training at Guangzhou TCM University, where she assisted and learned from doctors of Chinese medicine. She also studied Chinese herbal medicine for a year with renowned teacher Jeffrey Yuen, which sparked and deepened her commitment to herbal medicine. Throughout her career, Rochelle has collaborated with medical doctors, complementing Western medicine with Eastern approaches to offer her patients more comprehensive care.
